sir basil spence, travelling exhibition

The micro-exhibition celebrates the work of Architect Sir Basil Spence.

Curated by Jenny Crowe with The Lighthouse, the micro-exhibition accompanies the main RCAHMS curated gallery show which displays the Basil Spence archive.

The exhibition was constructed by Calum Stirling and Gordon Rogers using timber recovered and re-cycled from the Spence designed Duncanrig school in East Kilbride, while graphics were designed by Glasgow based Skratch.

The exhibition travelled around the UK in Autumn and Winter '07 / '08 at venues including:

Coventry Cathedral
Swiss Cottage Library
Omni, Edinburgh
Swanson Gallery, Thurso
Glasgow Airport
Gorbals Library
