The Preshal Trust

DO have just completed an options appraisal study for the Preshal Trust, to provide a new multi-function building on their existing site in Linthouse

Preshal means 'Precious', and the building should reflect this, simple in materiality and form on the outside, while precious in the way it functions and what it delivers for it's occupants on the inside

The building intends to gather creche, recreation, education, administration and one to one facilities around a central core atrium space, where people enter the building and can informally meet and eat

The slice over the atrium space provides a glimpse to the precious internal function

The improved facilities will allow the Preshal Trust to extend the cast of their vital lifeline to the local community through their outreach work

The pitching roof also provides possibilities for micro-generation of electricity using photovoltaic panels on the South Facing pitch to contribute to the Client's autonomy from the grid
