Aros Hall, Tobermory

DO were selected through open competition to explore options for the re-modelling of Aros Hall in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.

A detailed options appraisal study is complete and proposals to re-model and extend the building vertically at the rear have been tabled.

The Aros Hall will continue to provide a vibrant mix of theatre and live music performance alongside provision of visitor information, however it will add a cafe / bar, studios, gym, administration and education suites, and it could be a venue for weddings and civil ceremonies.

The historic building will become fully accessible and a truly multi-functional, serving the entire community and visitors alike.

It is also planned to introduce innovative renewable energy generation at the Aros Hall which will make the operation of the building more affordable, while dramatically improving it's energy credentials.
